I've never actually played the single player in this game, but for about a year in middle school I would play the multiplayer for several hours at my friends house everyday. While the multiplayer is actually subpar when compared to its N64 contemporaries like goldeneye, perfect dark, and mario kart, I played this game too much and had too much fun with it to leave it off this list. The xbox version wasn't very good either, but we played a shit ton of that one too...I'm still not sure why.

I know this isn't considered the best Harvest Moon game, but it's the first one I played and while the mechanics aren't as deep as in some of the other games, this one sucked me in like none of the others did.

This game is game introduced me to online gaming in a way I had never seen before. I played it daily in fifth grade, and while I never really loved it, the reason I played was because all my friends played as well. This was my first sense of community and social interaction in a game on any scale that wasn't split screen multiplayer in the same room. I think that's something pretty significant and important.

Why the fuck is this game on the list? Because it is a multiplayer dodge ball game that is fun as hell. It has a bunch of different balls that have tons of different status effects, and the controls are actually very good. Everyone always laughs when I suggest we play it, but in the end they all have a good time. I think this game is great and I'm not afraid to admit it.
