4 out of 5 starsDuring the past few years the FPS market has been dominated by one juggernaut franchise, Call of Duty. Ever since Infinity Ward released Call of Duty 4 back in 2007, the franchise has grown to be the biggest selling entertainment franchise of all time and widely acclaimed by players and critics worldwide. This lightning in a bottle that is Call of Duty’s success has been sought after by many a developer, some…
Alone in the Dark2008
2 out of 5 starsWhen I first heard that Alone in the Dark was getting a sequel I got a little giddy inside. My first experience of the Alone in the Dark franchise was Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare, which I recently re-completed. Whilst I knew that the game was nowhere near as good as its predecessors, and was actually closer to Resident Evil than its actual roots, I still enjoyed it and it holds a special place of nostalgia…
Borderlands2009
4 out of 5 starsBorderlands is the most unique game that I've played this year in terms of gameplay mechanics and visual style, it's certainly different compared to most major releases this year. Initially I didn't know what to think of Borderlands and didn't expect much of it which is why I didn't purchase it on the its day of release. After sinking around 20+ hours into the game I found myself pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the…
Brütal Legend2009
4 out of 5 starsHeadbangers unite! Grab your battle axe and guitar and prepare for some serious, face melting rockin'! The very moment you insert Brutal Legend into your console, you'll notice that Brutal Legend is pretty clever in both its design and writing. After a humorous opening from Jack Black, we are presented with the menu, in the form of a vinyl record. Scrolling through the menu, was actually really enjoyable, as the…

All articlesI am proud of this meaningless milestone.
Oct 26, 2010
I really shouldn't be proud about this but I can't help but feel a little giddy at meeting this imaginary and meaningless milestone. Bow before my glory! Well, I guess I'll work my way to 100,000 now. (Yeah, right.)
Today is my 16th birthday!
Oct 20, 2010
It is curently the 21st of Ocotber, 00:20 AM (GMT). It is my sixteenth birthday. While I don't see sixteen as much of a deal as many a people think it is, I do think that it's a great time to reflect on one's self and look towards the future. The past sixteen years seem to have gone in an instant as it seems only yesterday that I was blowing out my first candle on my first birthday cake. (That'...
Favourite Wiki Entries.
Aug 9, 2010
I recently began to start making small wiki edits across a number of pages and I came across the Dungeon Keeper 2 page which was quite bare. So I decided to mark down information as I played through the game, which is one of my favourites of all time, and then plant them into one giant wiki submission in hope of completing the 'Tactial Nuke' & 'Big Fan' quest. I had a lot of editing the page an...

Favourite Games of the Half-Year (Part 2)
Jul 23, 2010
Click here to view Part One. Continuing from my last blog post I will be discussing my favourite games of the past half-year of 2010. In Second Place... Like GTA... but better. When I first heard that Rockstar was developing a new game outside of the Grand Theft Auto or Manhunt franchise and I became excited. However, the more I began to learn about Red Dead Redemption the more I began to loose...
Favourite Games of the Half-Year (Part 1)
Jun 30, 2010
So, with the first half of 2010 coming to a close I took a moment to reflect on some of my favourite games which have really made gaming worthwhile during these first sixth months of what could be a very succesful year. In Fourth Place... Raaaaaaaaaaawr. It was all there: Two of the greatest Sci-Fi franchaises, ever. Two of the greatest Sci-Fi creatures, ever. A studio returning to a franchaise...
