Patent trolling in my view there were so many choose your own adventure books out there that weren't this particular brand and they obviously didn't pursue them back then. More fool you for not riding with the times and either creating a licensing agreement for the branding to a video platform or making your own.

I'd be interested to know does their copyright include the phrase choose your adventure, the concept of books that do this or something more. As in reality all they did was mention the genre in passing and then build a "game" around that concept the likes of which we've seen many times before.

As you may or may not know Bethesda are giving out free copies of the Fallout Classic Collection to anyone who played Fallout 76 in 2018, regardless of platform, will also come as no surprise given the full games release that these are the instructions for installing it;

To install the Classic Collection, just follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Download and run the Bethesda Launcher for PC
  • Step 2: Sign in to Bethesda.net with your account credentials
  • Step 3: Install the Fallout Classic Collection titles from the Games menu

Just another sneaky way to get their launcher on your PC from your friendly local Bethesda corp.

This game has seemingly come out too late to be considered for major publications GOTY.... I think it's something really special. To call it a Dark Souls light is disengenious, it has character of its own that builds up an incredible atmosphere.

You go about the world completing kind of fetch quests, returning to your town. There is a cool town building mechanic as you complete new tasks people join the town.

By far the coolest thing is it has an almost like Journey multiplayer where players just flip in and out of your world replacing an AI Companion, not sure how that works completely but you can turn it off.

All in I feel the release of this is a shame if it was full disc release on PS4 I feel like we'd be hearing a lot more about it. You have to wonder about Microsoft's strategy of revealing these games and then just leaving them till they come out and whether it is the best direction... Anyway try this game don't worry that it's another Recore it's a good game.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/vice-media-to-shrink-workforce-by-as-much-as-15-as-growth-stalls-1541632597

Article does mention:

"Vice Media plans to shrink its workforce by as much as 15% through attrition and cut its selection of digital sites by at least half, according to people familiar with the matter, as growth stalls at the onetime new-media darling."

Attrition points more to as people leave their roles won't be filled, but you never know. Lots of speculation on Reddit as to whether they may merge with Motherboard.

Personally could see what they deliver have enough of a niche to be on Patreon even though personally between all those I back I'm taped out and can't do anymore.

I'm enjoying it my best finish so far is a 6th place. I'm by no means a beast at battle Royale but this is the first one where I genuinely feel like I'm getting better. My battle Royale record currently stands at:

1 solo battle Royale - Fortnite (only played a handful, 10/15 at most so christ knows how I managed this)

2 2nd places 2 3rd place PUBG

1 solo 6th place Blackout

American Pie: Band Camp. 0.5/5

Curiosity finally got the better of me... Could the direct to DVD American pies be any good? One film in and the answer is no... The guy playing Stiflers younger brother is trying so damn damn hard to be Seann William Scott it's painful. He magically matures over the course of the film making it hard to see where next film would go. There are cameos from American Pie alumni one is cringing but still good, another is scene stealing as ever.
