This question is pretty two fold for me, I suppose. There are things I really want to do that just aren't possible, exploring space is one of them. But when it comes to things that are possible, there are four things on my mind: pick up the bass again, pick up hockey again, marry my girlfriend and raise a family with her, finish my eduction. I find it quite sad that half the things on that list are things I once did while I was younger that faded away because of a lack of time.
I don't really understand where you're coming from mate? Are you warning us that history can repeat itself because we're still putting out bad games? We live in a much different industry. The internet has allowed us to judge a game's quality shortly before it comes out and allows the developer to not flood the market with a game that isn't a triple A title (*cough* ET). It also goes without saying that the market is growing year by year, and even though a game could be the most horrible thing, it has a place somewhere. A prime example I've seen of this is Too Human. There are things about that game that are just completely jacked up, but I know a lot of people who enjoy it and I'm sure it sold decently.
I don't see another crash like the one in the 80s anytime soon mate.
I can't really tell you any specifics when it comes to the site's readership, but I think it's safe to say that a large portion of people that frequent Giantbomb on a daily basis are those that have been a fan of the guys since they all worked together at Gamespot. When they all left, Gamespot's personality died for me and a lot of the other's and it was just no longer fun to visit. I'm sure that the site could survive, but I don't think it'd have the size or personality of the community it does now.
Well, I mean if it's cheating or not really depends on your own moral compass. If you have some pretty deep feelings for your girlfriend, then you'll start to feel it if it is cheating. As for finding girls online to fufill this bet, it's a little harder than where I have found past girlfriends on Gaia as opposed to a site specifically dedicated for dating. The trick is to be as sweet and genuine as possible. Good luck man.
I'm guessing that Giantbomb doesn't really have the revenue and ofcourse man-power that Gamespot did, but I was a fan of all the live coverage they did with events like E3.
