I know there was a lot of things that were out of your control with the timing of your stream this year, but one thing I always like is if I can catch the VoD and then donate in thanks for the extra video. It's a bit a bummer that we didn't get these in time. I'll try and remember to donate extra in 2017 to make up for it.
Aw, the food superclip missed the part after Dan poured popcorn in Austin's lap, Austin used the fork he got from the Twinkies box to eat the popcorn out of his own lap. That was a weird non-sequitur not having seen any of the other clips in the series :)
It occurs to me that if you are indeed a trained lawyer, then you are not in need of the protections that unions and minimum wages provide. This can make it difficult to have perspective on the importance of those rules to a large section of the population.
In my own life, I don't own a house or have children, so it is easy to vote yes to every property tax increase and no to every school levy. I try to have some perspective on these things, but I'm never going to understand it in the same way as a family of six living in a purchased home.
Oh Austin heh. I love you but man are your articles usually very biased (yes I know Austin didn't write this article but he may as well have). Chalk me up as one of those people who consider unions and minimum wages price fixing. Those of us who worry about reviews becoming editorials worry about things like this influencing reviews. A company with a union for example I would expect to get a pass in a review Austin did. Mixing politics with consumer reports is a recipe for disaster. Games journalism should not be about cultural criticism.
@shivoa as a trained lawyer with international "law" training I laugh when anyone uses the declaration of human rights to prove anything. As a deceleration it is legally powerless. It also says that everyone has the right to health care something America assuredly doesn't believe. In fact we didn't approve of the treaty that was supposed to enforce that part of the declaration of human rights. The declaration was a political document and like all political documents is basically worthless.
@doomed wanting to make as much money as possible does not make you soulless that is the basis of capitalism the best economic system in existence as it rewards productivity, work, and innovation. The three important things that are what determine a countries strength and it is a countries strength that is important. A single worker IS worthless and replaceable at the "installing seatbelt" level as they are largely unskilled. Unskilled workers should not be paid 40 dollars an hour and forcing people to join unions is bad for exactly this reason. You should be able to unionize certainly but people should not be forced to join the union the union should have to compete for membership and make its case to the workers just like management. Competition is the soul of all good economics.
