5 Games Bethesda should have made instead of Skyrim Special Edition

Bethesda's E3 2016 event is over and since E3 has more leaks than something that is really leaky (like a boat with holes in it), nobody was surprised when they announced Skyrim With Mods for consoles and PC.

These days Bethesda is pretty much only known for making two games: "Oblivion with guns" and "Fallout without guns why would anyone even do something like that?", but since they've already acquired several other franchises from 3D Realms, like the sequel to Doom; Doom, as well as the newly announced sequel to Prey; Prey, why not continue down that path and work on sequels and reboots of classic games that the fans really want?

Here's 5 games Bethesda should have made instead of Skyrim Special Edition

List items

  • There's not really a lot of modern games where you play as a literal child anymore and especially not a lot of them where you shoot some damn aliens. It was a massively popular game for it's time and spawned a ton of sequels, so it's a mystery why it hasn't been brought back yet.

  • Street-who? Mortal-what? This is the definitive fighting game experience! Xenophage have laid dormant for 21 years. It's time to take back the throne and punch some damn aliens!

  • When you are Halloween Harry and get handed a flamethrower and some homing missiles, tasked to save the human race by shooting some damn aliens, you know you are in for a good time. Get on that sequel Bethesda!

  • There's probably not a more memorable character than the iconic hero of Duke Nukem II; Duke Nukem. Computer technology has progressed massively since the release of this instant classic, so maybe it was time to do a sequel in the 3rd dimension? Perhaps some sort of Duke Nukem "3D"? Then you could REALLY shoot some damn aliens!

  • Blake Stone revolutionized an entire genre by adding textures to the floor and ceiling. Just imagine how many more things they could add textures to with modern computing! You've already done nazis to death with Wolfenstein, Bethesda. Bring back Blake Stone so we can shoot some damn aliens already!
