Chiming in as someone else who pretty much exclusively gets content from the mobile video RSS. Hope someone will look into it.

I don't get why "I don't consider myself a feminist" is such a predictable line from high profile men when defending women's issues. You're not playing devil's advocate here dude. If you genuinely believe that women don't get the same lot as men in aspects of society you should be prepared to come out and say that you're a feminist because that's what you are and that is not a bad thing.

Every time someone in Patrick's position shies away from the term feminist in this kinda cowardly way, they sabotage their own arguments. Have some god damn pride.

Jeff: "You take it back to those roots of you're really getting in someone's ass fighting them, just talking as much shit as you can."

Patrick: "You want them to feel bad. Fighting games are as much a psychological game as it is the actual game that is playing out."

[Note: What the fuck?]

...

Patrick: "When you step back and think 'did I mean that?', no."

Jeff: "But in context it's probably okay."

Patrick: "Right."

Yeah this is a huge part of the problem and kind of a double standard. Trivialisation of rape as a serious issue isn't an appropriate part of shit talking or frustration, just as using slurs isn't. It's not kosher trying to talk up how women aren't treated fairly in an industry while you use this sort of rhetoric that trivialises other aspects of sexism.

This is a terrible problem that it would be great to figure out the solution to if we could. You'd think people would be able to not be shitty to one another regardless but awful perspectives and views run deep in society.

That said, Faith being a memorable character seems a bit of a reach.

Patrick's cool but some times he claims to know things when in fact he does not know the things.

If I remember correctly, Don't Look Back is an adaptation of the classic Greek myth of Orpheus, who ventured into Hades to bring his beloved Eurydice back to the land of the living, but only on the condition that he not look back to make sure she was actually following him. Just as he was about to reach the surface his faith wavered and he looked back, causing Eurydice's form to crumble to ash and her soul to be lost forever.

I'm surprised Dejobaan is even approaching this subject, considering that if Greenlight had been in place in the past the half-completed games they have released onto Steam would more than likely have been scrapped.

@Chris86: Hey the mere fact he's provided this interview series is good work enough, and I'd doubt that the quality of discourse dropped after the first part.

Also, yes.

Honestly can't say I'm suprised or disappointed by this, it's seemed a long time coming.
