I feel like that's often how it goes, you grow up with a certain way of watching something, whether it's the dub on toonami, your local language dub, or baked in fansubs on a crusty VHS, the rose tinted glasses effect is real (and valid, it's a defining version in your mind).
They completely forgot about Polnareff in this episode (which is totally fair, he just stabs Dio before getting bodied immediately), and the neat part where Dio felt pain and illness as if he was having a normal human fever when his head got smashed up, which imo is a fun knocking off a pedestal moment.
Gonna be my first time ever watching Cowboy Bebop tho, never got around to it in my return to anime. I have a feeling I'll like it, but the mainstream appeal reputation it's gotten made me hesitate to give it a shot, dunno if anyone else has that about popular shows.

Anyway happy we're reaching the conclusion of Stardust Crusaders, I haven't seen Cowboy Bebop yet but heard good things, would've preferred another series but I'm anxious to get to Part 4, the goated one.
