My Gaming in the Month of March

Felt the urge to write down some thoughts but do not know what to really write about. The month on March is always a funny one, every year it seems to sneak up on you without you knowing it, and before you know it. Bam, it has gone again.

As my final year of university comes to close I find myself with some free time, well, enough to complete a few games here and there. Back in September I could barely even play one, so completing them is a truly good feeling.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is a truly funny game. If you are a fan of the show then I strongly suggest you give it a try as you will not be disappointed, at times it just feels like watching the show as it immerses you so much. As for the RPG aspect the battles last for just the right amount time and never seem to go on too long but you will lose (and go to the mormon heaven) if you go into battle blindly. Also as a massive South Park fan myself, when they have references to other episodes I could not happen but smile ear to ear, with some references going all the way back to series one.

I have always been a fan of the inFamous games and this time round even more excited about having a shiny new game to play on my shiny new(ish) Playstation 4. The story seems a lot more serious this time round playing as 20-something year old named Delsin but that does not stop it from being fun. You start off with Smoke power which makes you feel extremely powerful and it just gets better and better from there. Before you know it you are zipping through the world like nobodies business. Extreme fun in my opinion, and the story even managed to pull on some of my cold heart strings before ending which was a nice change. Also DAT FACIAL ANIMATION!

The last game I finished was Beyond: Two Souls. Which is a very strange game. I love the world, the lore, the look and about three of the characters, but aside from that. I do not think it should have been a video game. The interactive moments are nice at first but due to the length of the game seemingly being a lifetime you get fed up and decide that you would rather just watch it after everything you put in to it. However the acting chops from the two main characters in this is amazing. Watch the highlights on YouTube for sure.
