Seeing the new visual style and hearing some of what appears to be an all trance soundtrack I have had similar fears that I might not enjoy this game as much as Rez.
 
The darker atmosphere and merging of musical styles really helped me get into Rez, but Child of Eden seems to lack both and takes a much different approach.
 
I will certainly try this game out at some point, but I'm still unsure if it will work out as well as Rez for me either.

Great job on the video. Though if anyone wants to see a documentary about the formation of Giant Bomb, just type 'How to Build a Bomb' into the video search bar.

So I guess we can expect the same gap in time that Half-Life 1 and 2 had. Probably more because Episode 2 already came out nearly 4 years ago.

I like the awesomely bad music.

Quite the nice list. Props on putting Legend of the Mystical Ninja on there.
 
Tetris Attack deserves to be on such a list.

Since Duke Nukem Forever actually seems like it will come out Valve has decided to put Episode 3 in seemingly permanent development hell.

There must always be one game.

I'll agree Brawl is not a game that should be played competitively. Melee on the other hand actually has a wealth of advanced techniques, and depth that matches mechanics of traditional fighting games.

No one who attends tournaments just plays on Final Destination. Platforms are an important part of competitive play, and the series in general.

Items are ridiculously unbalanced and mostly based off luck. This is why when people want to have a skill orientated match, they turn them off.

So there you go. Play the game however you want of course, but that's why some people prefer certain stages and no items.

Why not get Pokemon Black or White? But Pokemon, Harvest Moon, Mario Kart, and Animal Crossing are all great ideas for games.

It's somewhat fascinating to see how influential the site really is. Just look at the size of this thread, and it's hard to go a day in public without hearing someone say a meme originally popularized on /b/.

I played Legend of the Mystical Ninja with a friend and it was fantastic. Easily some of the most fun I've had with a co-op game.
