What an interview. I'm taking it all with a bit of salt, but most of the stuff in that interview seems plausible enough to be true. At this point I am just waiting for the next podcast and to see if Vince even responds on the Monday podcast with Stonecold (doubt it, but would wreck the whole "No Bullshit" angle they were going for).

This probably won't make me cancel my subscription or kinda follow whats been happening on Raw (partly because I wasn't watching during CM Punk's run with the company), but does make me wish that WWE get their act together in terms of planning out their stories and treating their wrestlers way better.

Huh, Payback was better than I thought it was gonna be. Mind you I set the bar low, but still pleasantly surprised nonetheless. Here are some rambly thoughts.

Also, #Bluetista is now a thing.

I have network, so I might as well have the ppv playing, even if its in the background while I do something else. The build up has been pretty meh, but hopefully the matches are decent. I hope they wrap up shield/evolution, or take it in a different direction. I also hope that they wrap up Cena/Wyatt, for pretty obvious reasons.

As a person who got right back into watching wwe wrestling with the network right before wrestlemania, I can't say I have been too disappointed so far. I kinda knew what I was signing up for, and what I am watching seems to be better than the last time I watched wrestling (around 2007ish).

I agree that it is not the best implemented change. The big reason I don't like it is because that notification was consistently used for live shows forever. I would be OK with the change if there was something different between live shows and videos instead of the little play icon (maybe a different color?).

However, the thing that confused me is the phrasing, "video is live." To me that sounded like a live show was on right now instead of a video being available. That irritated me more than it probably should have.

You know what, I like that style of thinking and I wish it worked out that way. But the point you raised avoids the current problem and runs into a completely different one. People aren't asking for community ERs (We had a couple of good ones that I watched for a while). When the community made ERs, they were largely ignored, because it wasn't Vinny/Jeff making them. Ersatz ERs have not had a good track record on galvanizing the GB community, as much as I wish they would. The result from that? You now have community ERs that are largely ignored, and a thing that reminds people that new Vinny/Jeff ERs are not coming.

People specifically want another Vinny/Jeff ER (case in point OP). That specific horse has been dead, dead, dead.

Because its a pretty sore spot for the community, and it is well worn territory at this point. If we are still going with the dead horse metaphor, its like having a person keep mentioning that your favorite horse has been dead once every month for the past couple of years. While the metaphor may be a tad bit melodramatic, at the very minimum it doesn't make the situation any better by mentioning/asking about the likelihood of new ERs.

EDIT: Though if we are just focusing on the horse being dead, then yes, nothing worsens since the horse remains dead.
