When I watched the Nintendo press conference live I was shocked to realise that what they were showing was a metroid trailer. To answer your inital question Brad, when did you realise that it was a metroid trailer? For me it was the first line of speech, before Samus was seen in her suit. The reason being was what the first line said, "Any objections Lady?" As soon as I heard that line I realised what I was watching and I was amazed. The reason why that line is significant is that in Metroid Fusion, Samus stated that her previous commanding officer used to say that to her before she went on a mission. So it is possible to say that the game is set very early in the Metroid time line, possibly before even Metroid on the NES?
What are your opinion on speed runs in games? Are they the ultimate proof of gaming skill? The show offs way to break the game? Or just for people who play them way to much?
Watch a new Super Mario 64, 16 star speed run to see my point:
That Vegas hotel burger you mentioned sounds much better. Seems like it is worth it as well for $777. But come on seriously, who puts truffel oil in a burger, for those who have not tried truffel before, they taste like shit, and I am sure as hell do not want to have the oil from it in what is ment to be a tasty meal.
It all depends on the way you look at it. You can argue that Yuna was the main character in FFX as the whole story was mainly about her pilgrimage. However, there have been fans complaining that they want a female lead role, so I know people who are completely for the idea. If you ask me I think Square is doing a fan service by having the main character as a female. But at the same time I do not mind as Square has always been good at creating a compelling story line that draws you in and I expect no less from FFXIII. We just now have to wait for all the sexist comments of how asthetically pleasing the main character is to role in.
There will probably be a gap filler like Chain of Memories was, prepairing the story for KH3. Also I want KH2 Final Mix + to come out outside of Japan. The extra content is awesome.
