Total letdown. 0

I loved No More Heroes, and wanted to see where the xrazy development team behind it started, so I picked up a copy of Killer 7 for cheap. Well, it was still way too much. I was letdown is just about every way with this game, and I only reccomend it to those who want to see Suda-51's origins or need to try every artsy viedo game out there. The game's presentation is pretty good. The art syle is unique and stylish, although severly lacking in technology when compared to No More Heroes. The load ti...

An incredibly disappointing, highly generic mess of a JRPG. 2

I was personally hyping this game for the high A to low AA range. I was expecting an JRPG that carried with it the tradition of an engrossing story with beautiful senery, but also broke away from the norm with its revolutionary combat. What I got was a JRPG so generic that it was actually worse than average RPGs in the genre and its so called revolutionary combat sstem was so dull, simple, and easily broken that it just felt like a huge waste of time.Visually, the game looks like an HD PS2 game ...

Overrated. 0

I was looking forward to this game so much. Its dark, its gritty, and its creative. Turns out, that's about all it has.The graphics are good enough. If I had to say anything bad about it I guess it would be that it seems to really lack textures. The lighting is solid enough, as is the frame-rate and I didn't notice any pop-in. People mention that there's a bunch of glitches but I didn't really see any. I saw really bad design choices, but no genuine technical faults. The soundwork is solid. The v...

Unique, for better or for worse. 0

My friend and I had such high hopes for this game. I had various ideas of how it would turn out. Silicon Knights has delivered on some of those ideas, while the most important ones are sadly ignored. The graphics are pretty good. it isn't the best looking game ever produced, but its still nice to look at. There can be a huge amount of things happening on-screen, and the framerate somehow manages to keep up smoothly the entire time. Ironically, during cinematics the framerate stutters and there ca...

My favorite racing game to come out so far. 0

Project Gotham Racing is my favorite racing series, anyone who knows my gaming habits already knows this. It is my favorite series for good reason, its beautiful, its addictive, and its fun, but still on the realistic side. As the latest in the series this is naturally now my favorite racing game, but let me explain why.The graphics are stunning. PGR3 already had amazing graphics and PGR4 has improved on them immensely, which is a good thing because racing is a genre where graphics actually somew...

Almost, but not quite. 0

Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction is another take on the popular open world theme of gaming. Rather than shooting up citizens and police officers you're going after various factions this time. One things stays the same in terms of the open world formula though, and that is that your main goal is to make as much money as humanly possible. But how well does this all work?Technically, the game is obviously too much for the Playstation 2. I haven't played any of the other versions so I don't kn...

Been there, done that. 0

Well, we all know how big of an impact the original Counter-Strike left on PC gaming. Even with Counter-Strike: Source available, there's still a fair amount of people that play the original. So its really no surprise they decided to bring it to consoles, and of course the one closest to a PC, the Xbox. The graphics are fine. There are really nothing special, but they're tolerable and get the job done. It's pretty much just a direct port of the original PC version, although i personally think it ...

Mature? Not really, but still a ton of fun that shouldn't be miss 0

This was the mature action game that every Wii owner was waiting for, and while it may be quite what anyone expected, it is still one of the more solid and original action games available. If you're a Wii owner who is old enough to purchase this game, I'd say it's worth a rent at the very least. The graphics may not be the most technically impressing, but they are certainly interesting. Some people may not appreciate the style Grasshopper decided to go with here, but I really like it. It's very c...

Just plain fun. 1

Sonic has strayed from his 2D lineage in recent years to try and compete with the likes of Mario and Ratchet and Clank in the 3D realm of platforming. With the exception of the adventure series, his attempts have been futile. Now, I had been hearing that the hand-held Sonic games were still solid additions to the series, so when I saw this game sued, I decided I'd give it a try. The graphics here are essentially the traditional 2D look with some tweaks. First of all the characters themselves are...

What motivates you? 0

Well I'll tell you what motivates me, amazing games. As corny as that was, its true, and this game is nothing short of amazing. Not only is this by far the best game in the Grand Theft Auto series, its also my second favorite game to ever be released, and anyone who knows me knows that means a fair amount. The game-play here has been completely reworked, and is better than the previous games in every way. You still have the auto aim feature, but its uses much less awkward angles than before. Bet...

The best Mario kart yet. 1

This is without question, the ultimate Mario Kart game, this is every Mario Kart fan's dream come true. Anything I could have asked for, has been implemented into this game.Anyone comes to a Mario Kart game looking for the best graphics around is making a mistake, the series is about game-play, so don't expect any mind blowing visuals. However, I'm not saying Mario Kart is not a good looking game for the Wii. At first glance you won't really notice any difference between this and Double Dash, an...

Great Multiplayer. 1

Anyone who has played Mario Kart will either tell you that its stupid and pointless, or that its one of the best multi-player experiences available. I'm one of those people that think its an amazing multi-player gaming series, and Double Dash is no exception. The graphics, while not the best on the Gamecube, are still pretty good in my opinion, and much better than they need to be for a game like this where the sole purpose is chaos and fun. Its also a huge step up from Mario Kart 64's graphics, ...

Instant Classic. 0

Nearly everyone who has played Resident Evil 4 will tell you at the very least that it was a welcome change to the survival horror genre. While some may not agree with the Game of the Year title, most will at least agree that the game is great, and a much needed step forward. The graphics are extraordinary. It pushes the Gamecube to its limits. I'd go as far to say that it can hold its own against most console games around today. As far as it pushes the Gamecube, it still holds a solid frame rate...

A very solid and immersive shooter. 0

To start things off, I'll say that this game is not perfect. Not even close. However, its a lot fun, very immersive, pushes the PS2 to its limits, and is fairly underrated in my opinion.Lets start out with the graphics. The graphics in this game are possibly the best on the PS2, although it faces some stiff competition with Shadow of the Colossus. I seriously couldn't believe it was running on my PS2. Although there can be some frame rate problems from time to time. The sound is amazing. The sou...

The most awesome fan service of a game ever. 0

This game is one of the best I've ever played. I'm willing to admit that part of the reasoning behind it is the nostalgia factor. However, even if you remove the nostalgia, its a pretty fun game with some of the best graphics the Wii has seen so far.The graphics are fantastic, and are actually pretty realistic. This game brings up the same issue Super Mario Galaxy brought up, I don't think I want any game including Mario or Kirby to look much more realistic, or it just wouldn't feel right. There...

Old-school. 2

If you're looking for a challenge, old school game play, or just some sweet ninja action, then this game is for you. It might be the hardest game I've ever played, its set up to be a straight forward challenge through the levels, and you're a futuristic ninja, I don't see what could go wrong.Graphically speaking, the game is top notch for a PS2 game. It really is one of the best looking games of the last generation. It even has some decent textures, which was a rare thing at the time. Everything...

The beauty of nature and simplicity. 0

This game is something else. Its different, relaxing, beautiful, educational, and so much more. Of all those descriptions of this game I just mentioned, how often do you see them all associated with a game? I don't think I have ever used all of those to describe one game before. Endless Ocean is different from other games for a couple of reasons. The first that comes to mind is the fact that there is no danger in the game whatsoever. You can't run out of air, or suffer from pressure changes, not...

Total letdown. 1

I was in love with Final Fantasy X when I played it, and it still resides high up in my list of top 10 games I've ever played. I was looking forward to Final Fantasy X-2 eagerly, even though it looked to be nothing more than a cash-in on Final Fantasy fans. Lucky for me, my friend got this for his birthday and I got to sink a couple of hours into it before I spent the money on the game. The graphics are great. They're really colorful, high quality, and they stand out. That being said, they haven...

Innovative 0

This is one of those excellent, fresh games that there needs to be more of. It uses a really good, fairly new concept, and executes it perfectly. This game does suffer from some insane difficulty, along with a few other quirks, and may not be for everyone. The graphics aren't exactly stellar. It's essentially hand-drawn manga style art for everything but the surgery itself. During the actual surgeries the graphics are on par with a bad PS2 game graphically. All the menus and such are set up to lo...

A game that had a lot fo potentialand then just kind of...died. 0

Red Steel oozed potential, it could have been so awesome, I probably would have pre-ordered it had I owned a Wii at the time. Luckily I didn't, but my friend did, which allowed me to try it out before I spent $50 on it.The graphics are probably the best part of this game. They're solid, and pretty good looking for a Wii title. This will probably remain to be one of the best looking games on the Wii with a focus on realism. Other games that do not focus on realism though, like Super Mario Galaxy ...

A great game, but it doesn't really live up to the original. 0

If this was a stand alone game, I would just say, "Hey, this is a pretty cool game, but its got some problems". However, this isn't a stand alone game, this is a sequel to what many including myself consider to be one of the best shooters of all time. So this game is going to be held up to higher standards, and it is going to suffer for it.The graphics are very good for a launch game, and showcase the potential of the Xbox 360 well. Lighting is heavily used in this game, and seems to be what the...

Guitar Hero II was my first Guitar Hero, and it was loads of fun, so as you can guess I was looking forward to this new addition to the series. I was worried at first about the change in developer and publisher, but I'm glad to be able to say that the game was not harmed in the transition, and turned out pretty good. The graphics, while still not groundbreaking, are a giant leap ahead of Guitar Hero II. The physics engine, now powered by Havok, is great. Now the characters hair, or clothing addit...

An absolutely stunning game that all should enjoy. 1

I grew up with Mario. I played all the greats, Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World 1/2, and of course, Super Mario 64. I also played the somewhat of a letdown, Super Mario Sunshine. I'm happy and proud to announce that Mario is back as the king of platformers and is a huge step up from Super Mario Sunshine. The graphics certainly draw some attention with their high amounts of shine. It really is about as realistic as you could go without it loosing that Mario charm. Everythi...

Grows on you. 0

Lets get this out of the way, if you're a hardcore RPG gamer Morrowind is better, for everyone else, this game is equal to, if not better than Morrowind. Bethesda made some good improvements this time around, but they also made some downgrades for the sake of accessibility, and they're also still the faulty programmers they've always been, glitches and all.The graphics are very good, fantastic if you consider how early in the Xbox 360's life span this game came out. Everything is extremely well ...

Amazing. 0

This was the first Guitar Hero game for me, and i am really glad I tried it out. Its all the fun of a rhythm based game like DDR but you feel was less stupid playing it, and the music is way better. The graphics are surprisingly solid, especially considering that a game like this doesn't really need any. Everything is shiny/flashy, and the light shows and smoke effects are pretty cool, giving off that rock star look. The audience is actually pretty well animated, better than crowds usually are i...

More of a side-step than a true step forward for the series. 0

Most will disagree with em on this, but I consider San Andreas to be the worst of the Grand Theft Auto series. Its not a bad game by any means, on the contrary, I think its quite good which is why I'm giving it an 8.0, or "great" rating. It just seems like its not nearly the step forward from Vice City that I had hoped. The graphics are pretty much exactly the same as they were in Vice City. It still has all the problems Vice City had, bad textures, shifty frame rate, bad load times, glitches gal...

I feel the need for speed! 0

This game made Project Gotham Racing my favorite racing series. Yes I like this series even more than Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport. It really captures the spirit of driving more than it's competitors. The graphics are fantastic, especially for a launch game and still hold up against the likes of Forza Motorsport 2, DiRT, and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. The textures are top notch, everything is super shiny and colorful, but I think the biggest standout is the lighting which is some of the best I'...

The sequel to the game that sold Xbox systems. 0

Halo 2 seems to have disappointed a lot of fans, while also attracting many new ones. I'm a fan of the series as a whole, and still consider Halo 2 to be a solid and worthy addition to the series. This game really was a graphics standout when it came out. it pushed the original Xbox to its limits. I don't think there was a better looking game at the time for consoles in my opinion. This isn't to say it didn't have its share of problems. Indeed it had its share of texture pop in and frame rate iss...

An amazing game that started a fantastic and much needed series. 0

This is the game that got all of those Xbox systems off the shelves. This is the game than ensured Microsoft success. This is the game that revolutionized console shooters. The graphics are top notch for the time, but were quickly topped by other games, including its big brother, halo 2. There was a large amount of textures and shine. This game has a sort of realistic yet unfamiliar look to it. The guns and character models are pretty well detailed. What's really impressive to me is how far you ...

My favorite MGS game. 0

As I stated above, this is my favorite game in the Metal Gear Solid series. It be due to the fact that it was also my first. My friends all raved about the original Metal Gear Solid, and they said Sons of Liberty was too.. Well, I had bought a Playstation 2 already so that I could play GTA III, so I figured I'd at least look into this, and I'm glad I did.The graphics are top notch, some of the best you'll see on a Playstation 2. The art design is very clean looking, but dark and gloomy at the sa...

Rocks! 0

Gears of War was hyped to kingdom come and back. It is nearly impossible for a game to truly deliver on hype like that, and the ones that do beome legendary. For some Gears of War did deliver. It delivered on a fair amount for me, but it does fall short in some places. There's no getting around it, the graphics are absolutely flooring. This game truly signaled that the next generation of gaming was here. The characer models, lighting, textures, backgrounds, explosions, vehicles, everything is jus...

A great ending to a beloved series. 0

Halo: Combat evolved brought console shooters a revolutionary control scheme and shooting mechanics, and a surprisingly good story. Halo 2 brought us a new revolution, online play, along with fantastic graphics and a solid continuation of the storyline despite a cliffhanger. Now, we pick up where that cliffhanger left off, and I'm glad to say its everything Halo fans were hoping it would be.Halo 3 isn't as graphically groundbreaking as Halo2, but its still rather impressive. All the character mo...

All good things of this earth flow through this city. 0

This game left a huge impression on me. I find it to be one of the most amazing games I have ever played. It will be some time until we see another game quite like it.The graphics are stellar. The textures rival other graphics intensive games. The fire effects are spot on. The lighting is fantastic. What truly stands out is the amazing and ground breaking water effects. It flows just like water should, and is so detailed it really looks like water, as weird as that sounds. It's seriously the bes...

Surprisingly Good. 0

This is probably the most pleasant gaming surprise for me in years. With mediocre or worse reviews across the board, I thought I knew for sure I was wasting my $34.99 buying a used copy. Lucky for me, I love ninjas. The graphics are pretty standard, nothing special, but not bad either. If anything it looks like a really nice original Xbox game with some textures that wouldn't be possible previously. Unlike many games of the current generation, I have experienced no technical problems whatsoever. ...

All it's cracked up to be! 0

This is one of those rare treats that comes out every so often. It's quite an amazing game and I'm really glad that it has caught as much attention as it has, because it deserves it.The graphics are great. There's some really well done shadow effects and the art style as a whole is just astounding. The visual style the developers decided to go with really makes the game stand out from the pack. Best of all the game can run on at least minimum settings on most of today's computers. On the downsid...

Best In Series. 0

Wow, I just finished beating the single player campaign on this game , and what a thrill ride. This game definitely deserves all the praise it has received by both critics and gamers alike. The graphics are outstanding. On max settings this game is one of the best looking out there right now. Lots of awesome lighting, shadow, and particle effects as well as some pretty good textures. The game also has a pretty fluid frame-rate and only a little bit of pop-in but that trelies more on your computer...

A solid online experience for those who still love WWII. 1

There are tons of people who love playing shooters online. The amount of people who are still in love with WWII themed shooters however, is dwindling. So you really have three choices when choosing which WWII themed shooter to play online. You can play Battlefield 1942 which is becoming extremely dated, you can play the unbalanced and camper heavy Call of Duty 2, or you can play Day of Defeat: Source. The graphics aren't going to really impress anybody, that part is obvious. However, it still isn...
