Spent a ton of hours during high school playing the PS2 version of this game and even more with the release of Golden on the Vita.

The first Final Fantasy game that I actually felt compelled to finish. When it comes to the argument of the best Final Fantasy game, this entry in the series is definitely king (or queen?). I also enjoyed the amount of comedy mixed in with the usual melodrama that are known to accompany Final Fantasy games.

Holy shit, I could probably play this game forever on and off. Just hearing that preparation music before a mission starts just gets me super pumped to send my dudes and ladies out to bop some alien scum.
