Strong opinions, not as good as 2016. Which was my 2016 GOTY. Big leap on the game play front, but still feels like not quite dialled in. While I'm terrifically glad that OG Doomguy is Neo-Doom cannon, it's all a bit cringe in implementation, along with the Ancient Aliens (now that's a great Doom2 wad...) in lieu of heaven. I really miss the edge-lord vibe of OG Doom with it's blasphemous take on a malevolent hell. Too comic booky.

Great, not terrible. Big stompy robots in coop and single, even if the procedural mission gen runs out of ideas after about an hour.
