If they can make it look like an animated version of this, I am on-board.IGN is reporting that SNK Playmore has an announcement in the wings about an HD Metal Slug Game. SNK Playmore is already taking The King of Fighters back to 2D with KOF XII, and it's suggested that Metal Slug might get a similar treatment, though it's vague enough that it doesn't rulle out a Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix style remake. Either way, I'm a littler nervous about this. For their time, those old Metal Slug graphics were pretty packed with detail, and it's going to take a lot more animation to keep it from looking choppy and awkward in HD. Though, even done half-ass, it couldn't be as bad as the 3D Metal Slug game. So, here's to hoping they pull it off!
