Dylan Bakalar is best known for making several old "Bad YouTubers" look terrible at Rocket League.

Hi! It's DIB!!!! This is my 2025 best games of the year list! This year I played A LOT of Fornite. So I'm only going to do 7 games. So buckle up, and enjoy my thoughts on games.

7. HENRY HALFHEAD!

A baby Henry Halfhead in a playpen in Henry Halfhead.

I loved this game's idea of jumping on anything and becoming whatever it is you jumped on. The game is also pretty creative because you don’t know what comes next. You have no clue. For me my favorite part of the game is when you have a job and have to sort a bunch of boxes. The reason I like that is because I LOVE minigames and that little part really made me more interested in mastering it. I would recommend this game to someone who likes to do cute puzzles and do step by step problems to figure something out. But either way this game is cool and is why it's on my list. At first I was scared that it had half of a person’s head but it’s not like bloody or anything.

6. SKATE STORY!

The player character in Skate Story standing in huge hall with large columns.

Honestly this game just surprised me with its crazy story line and OMG when you die it feels like you roll in the glass shatter but you don’t even get cut. Remember when I said that the story line of this game is crazy, I meant it was actually normal. What? YOU mean you don't go around eating moons??? Man that's crazy. But besides that this game deserves a spot in my list. It’s really weird and my dad really liked it. The music in it is chill.

5. LEGO PARTY!

Lego mini-figures snowboarding down a hill. Snowboarding is like hockey but for lame people.

If you love minigames like me (like I said before) you would love Lego Party! It's exciting, frustrating, and funny. For me personally I love these types of games where you battle each other to get the most stars or whatever.. My idea of where they got this idea from was Mario party. Cause maybe they liked the idea and stuff like that and then just wanted it to be more fun and faster. What I love about this game is that you're able to pick how long your game can be. Like nobody wants to be in the game for 5 hours straight. Plus I love the design of the maps that they did. My favorite is the pirate one and of course Ninjago.

4. DONKEY KONG BANANZA!

Dylan Kong

First of all, I loved the Mario Odyssey game. It was very fun. It came out when I was younger so I had to wait til I was older so that my hands worked better.  I couldn't finish Bananza but I know how detailed every little tiny thing was, like a little wall, MAX DETAIL. I love games when the creators actually put time into their games. I'm not saying people don't put effort in games but Donkey Kong Bananza really surprised me with its creativity and destruction stuff. The best thing I like about this game is probably smashing a banana. It's satisfying for me. But either way this game deserves to be on this list as well.

3. MARVEL COSMIC INVASION!

A screenshot of Marvel's Cosmic Invasion showing Spider-man, Venom, Black Panther and Jean Grey fighting.

I love how they made this game into an old timey street fighting game. First of all I know this game is Marvel and that's why the title was called Marvel Cosmic Invasion but it didn't feel like a Marvel game to me and that's what I think is cool about it. (BTW, my favorite characters in this game were Spiderman and Ironman). My dad plays as Cosmic Ghostrider a lot and Storm because she just floats forever.

2. FORTNITE!

Secondary key art of the The Simpsons season of Fortnite.

Ok. I know what you are thinking. Actually I know TWO things that you're thinking. 1. Why is DIB not putting Fortnite at first? 2, DIB already did Fortnite last year. Why is he doing it again? Well, I will answer those questions right now. The reason I'm not putting Fortnite first is because the first game is the BEST game I think I ever played. Second question, well the reason I'm putting Fortnite again is because it's GOOD. I love what they did with the collab with the Simpsons! Might be the best mini season ever. The other reason is because I love how they always start fresh and don't repeat the same thing over and over, and that's why Fortnite is 2 on my list.

1. SPLIT FICTION!!!!

Dylan's Split Fiction

OMG. This game is the greatest thing to ever exist! The detail, the story line, the puzzles, everything about this game is amazing. I just can't get over this game, it's just amazing!! Of course I played it with my Dad, because it's two player and they do that so so well. When you start playing this it feels like the world around you has just stopped and it's just you and the game. Well and my Dad. I literally sunk in my couch while playing. It was the most interesting, most fun and exciting game I have ever played in my entire LIFE. Me and my Dad had a blast beating it and playing it. It all happened so fast. If you haven't played this game yet I would assure you that you will LOVE IT. Play it with your friend or parent or kid. With all this explaining this game obviously deserves the NUMBER 1 spot in my list!!!

BYE! I WILL PLAY MORE GAMES IN 2026 I THINK.
