Another Activision Employee Says “DJ Hero”

Sometimes I just don't understand the motivations behind the engine of paranoid information control that powers the video-game PR business. We've been hearing people with various levels of affiliation with Activision drop the DJ Hero name for months now, yet for some reason Activision refuses to confirm its existence in any official capacity. We know it's coming, and acting cagey about it suggests a lack of confidence.

Today we get Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick looking mad uncomfortable on CNBC. After spending most of the interview talking up Activision's financial solvency amidst the economic apocalypse, he once again brings up DJ Hero, a product he describes as “a turntable that you can actually play competitively, spin discs and mix on,” and which he says will be coming out sometime this year.

I'm certainly intrigued, but you know what would be great? Some screenshots, maybe a sampling of involved artists, or, you know, any kind of information not gleaned off of dry-ass financial TV programming, Activision.
