Overview
Programmed by Carol Shaw, Polo is a game for the Atari 2600 based on the sport of the same name. It was originally designed to be a tie-in for Ralph Lauren's Polo cologne. The plan was to have the game set up on Atari 2600 consoles that were located within New York City's Bloomingdale's department store. However, the promotion never ended up seeing the light of day, and thus, the game was shelved.
Despite this, a version of the game's prototype was released on the compilation disc, 'Stella Gets a New Brain' in 1996. As well as this, a standalone version of the game was released in 2002 by Cassidy Nolen during the PhillyClassic 3 game convention.
