Murder victim discovered in a dumpster at the 300 block of West Rose with a pentagram carved into his chest (surely not over something as trivial as 40 cents).
Often seen disturbing the peace at some of Lytton's finest public parks in his tighty whiteys, waiting for the Bathonian mothership to approach. Known to conceal weapons in his underwear. Lives at 120 Peach Street. Played by Brian Brouillette (listed as "Nut at Aspen Falls" in the game credits).
Lytton Police Department janitor. Played by Sierra designer and Police Quest 3 Creative Director Bill Davis, Jr.
Bonds' and Morales' commanding officer in the Homicide Division. Played by Robert Tapp.
Bag lady and witness to Marie's attack. Lives in the abandoned industrial park at 325 South Second Street. Large appetite and keen eye. Played by Nancy Smythe.
Lytton Police Department Booking Officer. Named after Sierra animator Daryle Smith. Played by Craig Simmons.
Defends Juan Jose Ruiz in the case of the People vs. Ruiz. Played by Chris Garski.
Represents the People in the case of the People vs. Ruiz. Played by Sierra bigshot and Police Quest 3 Executive Producer Ken Williams.
Lytton Police Department psychologist. Often hides under his desk for no apparent reason. Do not play with his balls, lest you desire reprimand. Played by Corey Cole.
Marie's physician at Lytton Hospital following her attack. Played by Warren Cleeland.
Lytton Police Department Homicide Detective, whose lunch becomes a critical game element.
The arch nemesis of Lytton PD detective Sonny Bonds, and brother of Michael Bains.
If something goes wrong, you better believe Police Quest series creator Jim Walls will show up, with one foot perched on the front bumper of a squad car, to point out the error of your ways.
Drunk driver pulled over by Sonny Bonds on routine traffic patrol. Known for vomiting all over the shoes of law enforcement officers.
Played by George Esparza, who would go on to play Yo Money’s massive bodyguard in Police Quest: Open Season. Ruiz, a proud Chicano, is stopped by Officer Bonds for driving too slow in the fast lane, and takes him to court a few days later in the case of the People vs. Ruiz. Drives a black 1958 Ford Fairlane with hydraulics and a hot flame paint job. All scenes in which Mr. Ruiz appears are accompanied by his latin-inspired theme music.
Presides over the case of the People vs. Ruiz. The Lytton Police Department requires Judge Simpson's permission to execute search warrants and to use the battering ram in the event that a search warrant cannot be served. Played by Tara Ryan.
Lytton city coroner. Wears a white lab coat and enjoys pastrami sandwiches. Known to make dramatic entrances and give tasteless pun-laden names to unidentified corpses that turn up at the morgue. Played by Sierra programmer Josh Mandel.
Formerly known as "Sweet Cheeks", now known as "Marie Bonds". Wife of Sonny Bonds, victim of attempted murder, former prostitute. Played by Cheryl Loyd.
Lytton Police Department Evidence Officer. Was investigated and cleared at a use-of-necessary-force hearing for killing a suspected criminal while in the line of duty. Now rides a desk in the Lytton PD evidence lockup. Played by Sierra artist Cindy Walker.
Brother of Sonny Bonds' arch nemesis Jesse Bains and associate of Steve Rocklin. Served in the US Army; was medically discharged due to psychological instability. Had served beyond reproach as a Career Gunnery Sergeant, before a behavior alteration was noticed after the death of his brother, Jesse, where he became consistently more violent and antisocial. Schizophrenic psychopath and criminally insane, according to Dr. Sidney Aimes’ brief analysis based purely off of Bains’ military record. Believed to reside at 522 West Palm.
Head technician at Lytton PD. Mike runs the computer facilities, and loves to talk about them. Despises when people don't return the department automobile tracking device on time. Played by Sierra programmer John Hartin.
Often found chasing after women and speeding in his white 1990 Mercedes convertible. Mr. Hanley's appearance in the game is accompanied by his funk-inspired theme music. Makes his home at 201 Fig Street. Orpheus Hanley plays himself (when he's not too busy working in Sierra's sound department).
Played by Patty Lang. Homicide Detective with the Lytton Police Department; lightning rod for controversy throughout the game. Known to destroy evidence and exhibit chronic insubordination, an irrational hatred of authority figures, and low self-esteem. Some might even call her a borderline sociopath. Watch your back, Bonds.
Main character, lead protagonist, and Sergeant with the Lytton Police Department. Played by Chris Barns.
Member of the Lytton Police Department’s K9 unit. Critical to your success. Credited as having been played by Spot, the Wonder-Dog, where we are informed that "A representative of the SPCA was present at all times during the coding of the animal sequences. No animals were in any actual danger."
Prime suspect in the attempted murder of Marie Bonds and the murders of Andrew Dent, Clifford Jones, and Samuel Britt. Known to dabble in the occult. Blood type A-negative. Frequents the Old Nugget Saloon near the corner of 8th and Palm - that's the 200 block of East Palm. Last seen driving a gold (mixed with a little bit of white) 1976 General Motors sedan that may be missing both license plates and a hood. Last known address was 500 West Peach, which burnt down under very suspicious circumstances. Played by Sierra QA guru Mike Pickhinke.
Sole proprietor of Zak's Keys at the Oak Tree Mall. Will make key copies for only $2.50. Played by Bob Ballew.
