I'm going with Moon because although I think a lot Sun exclusives look way better, I think the legendary just looks insanely boring. Whoopde-fucking-do, it's another big ass four-legged thing. Back in my day, we had three of 'em in Gold/Silver and they were all waaaaaaaay cooler. Whereas the fucking gigantic bat with golden blade wings in Moon looks baller as shit...so I'm going with that.
Both. Though I'll probably prioritise Sun - my instinct was towards Moon (because Bloodborne > Dark Souls, obviously) but more of my friends seem to be getting Moon. Also the fact that Moon is time-shifted puts me off that a little for first playthrough, I kinda want to play primarily during the daytime so I'd be better off with Sun.
I know this is somewhat off topic, but are the new non-XL 3DSes any better than the old ones? I'm in the market for a new 3DS to play this on and I noticed several stores have a $99.99 non-XL 3DS for their Black Friday deals. Keep in mind that it would be cheaper to buy that + Pokemon than buying the new $199 XL bundle.
Also to get back on topic, probably Sun because I think the legendary on the cover looks cooler.
If all this terminology confuses you, blame Nintendo for calling the new 3DS just "the new 3DS".
@relenus: new 3ds has all of one exclusive game to the system, xenoblade chronicles. some games like monster hunter and hyrule warriors benefit from the extra power. you also get the right analog nub and i think better placement of the volume control and other buttons. size difference you get a higher density screen which some like and it's obviously more portable.
i briefly entertained the idea of getting the $99 new 3ds but i can't rationalize it as i already have the new 3ds xl and it works perfectly fine mar a few cosmetic scuffs.
