Sequel to Squashy Software's 2002 claymation shmup indie hit Platypus, developed without the involvement of Squashy Software.

    Short summary describing this game.

No recent wiki edits to this page.

When Anthony Flack created the original Platypus in 2002, he signed a contract with iDigicon Limited that included signing away all IP rights for the game as well as royalties in return for a lump sum, following this iDigicon ported the original game to several platforms and contracted Gamehouse and Retro64 to create a sequel.

Platypus II features a similar aesthetic style to the clay animated original, though entirely using prerendered graphics instead of clay models.

Captain Qwerty published an article about the story behind the development of Platypus II in 2007, available at http://www.qaptainqwerty.com/2007/12/story-behind-platypus.html
