    Piranha (or Pir-hana in WipEout 2048) is a racing team in the WipEout universe.

    Piranha's first appeared in the WipEout series as a secret team in WipEout XL, one that can only be unlocked after completing the Piranha Challenge. The team would then become a fan-favourite in the franchise, with its ship designs that always favours pure speed over handling.

    Strangely enough, Piranha actually makes an appearance in WipEout 2048, a prequel that takes place four years before the first game. A newsreel in the last track in the game, Altima, does hint at the team's absence in the next championship.
