Overview
Petit Depotto (プチデポット) is a small Japanese developer based in Nagoya that is only made up of four members. These include:
- Toru Kawakatsu, also known as: Mezukare (Producer and Director)
- Shigoto (Programmer and Scenario Writer)
- Kotori (Graphic Designer and Illustrator)
- Q Flavor (Composer)
The team initially began as a doujin group in the early 2000s named Globule where they made a name for themselves developing adventure games, including a well liked yet unfinished title called Hyakuiro Megane: Kalos Eidos Skopeo. The group made their debut as Petit Depotto with their release of Unholy Heights for the Xbox 360 in 2012, a simulation game crossed with a tower defense title. However, they are most famous for their second video game, a social deduction adventure game called Gnosia. The title gained a cult following after releasing for the PlayStation Vita in 2019 and has continued to be well received after being ported to the Nintendo Switch in 2020.
Trivia
- The group's name is said to have been inspired by the company logo of a refrigerator belonging to Kotori.
- If you try to go to Globule's former website there is only a single splash page stating that production has ended on Hyakuiro Megane. However, due to continued fan support over the years, the team states that they will "definitely finish it before we die."
