Trailer!
Edit: hm, not convinced by this - but first pure bank robbery game I'm aware of, so something... new?
Edit 2: Well, at least since 1983. And game page suggest it could have some neat mechanics, so maybe negativity was unwarranted.
Game » consists of 4 releases. Released Oct 18, 2011
I hope you don't HAVE to go in guns a'blazing. I mean, I'd want to do that, too, but I hope there's the option to hostage negotiate your way out of stuff. Or stealth? I mean, if it's all shooting then it's all shooting. Seems different enough.

Is it on pc?
The video had parts where it said "press f to..." so I'm guessing its on PC as well.
So is this what Hei$t turned into after getting canned? Or was this supposed to be a knock off of that that game? I don't mind it too much but Hei$t seemed to have a deeper concept of recruiting team members. (crowd control, get-away driver, safe cracker, etc), staking out the bank and planning the job, and then executing the plan. This just seems to be shoot all the cops.
It's games like this that make me think maybe Jack Thompson actually has a point (only slightly). I dunno, I think it's one thing to have shooting when you're killing bad guys, but it seems...wrong to almost glorify bad guys, having you be the bank robber and stuff. I'm sure people will disagree, and that's fine, I'm not saying we're going to turn into bank robbers because of a game haha.
"Endless replayability" it claims. How? Very few games have "endless" anything, and six different heists sounds hardly replayable.
Looks like it could either be really cool or fucking terrible.

And yeah, that sounds like bullshit.

I thought the same about the L4D franchise, but I still play L4D2 on a regular basis. Looks like this is going for the same thing.
Also, I cannot wait for the media to get a hold of this v.v
I wonder if this game is basically parts of the cancelled game "the heist", I remember reading about that game years ago and thinking it had allot of promise, I am sure that game was more of a third person "gta" style game in which you had to recruit different members for a heist, plan the job, getaway etc then try to pull it off, They had some very interesting ideas and I was looking forward to playing that game but it got cancelled.
You would have been able to do lots of different types of robberys in that game from shops, bars, banks amoured cars to eventually attempting to rob the mint, It looked real ambitious, set in 1969 and with rpg elelments of gaining new tools etc to enable you to pull of bigger and better jobs, I think the game was being developed by exile games or something similar and published by codemasters so i assume this new game has nothing to do with that, was just wondering as i thought i seen the Heist spelt with $ like in the other cancelled game but after watching the video again it was not.
This looks absolutely terrible. Interesting concept, though. I mean, I've played CS mods that play and look better than this.
Could have potential. Not the prettiest game, but it's got some cool ideas, and co-op multiplayer is always good in my book.
"Endless replayability" it claims. How? Very few games have "endless" anything, and six different heists sounds hardly replayable.Or by the same token, everything is endlessly replayable, unless your disc gets scratched or your console/pc crashes. Those are just buzz words PR guys like to throw around when they don't really have anything interesting to tell you about a game.
They talked about this quite a bit on the Epic Battle Axe E3 daily wrap-up.
Brent Adams said he spent time with the game and it was an immense amount of fun. The key elements he discussed were the following:
1. You can choose when to put your masks on and basically initiate 'The Heist'. You can come in guns blazing, or choose to wait, set up, get in position and then surprising the bank etc.
2. There is a barter system with the police where you can trade captured allies for hostages you have bound.
3. There is one player who has an 'ammo bag'. This is the only viable way to reload your weapons and it needs to be placed strategically in order to have success.
4. The game changes dynamically based on your actions. He pointed out that taking out any and all security cameras would cause police to react more cautiously, whereas leaving them intact would cause an insertion through the roof, rushing through stairwells etc.
5. It is confirmed this will be a downloadable title of PS3 and PC, and as such carry a downloadable price tag- but no confirmation of what that would be.
This game went from barely moving the needle for me, to really being on my radar. To hear someone whose opinion I respect give such effusive praise definitely makes it interesting to me.
Ya i hope so.@scarace360 said:

If this is true then I'm going to buy the hell out of this game.
