Born in Poland and raised in Canada, Paulina Bozek began her career in video games in public relations at Ubisoft. In 1999, she moved into project-management, working on Gameloft which at the time was solely dedicated to online multiplayer. She then left the company to travel around Europe, and in turn moved to London to study her Masters in Sociology.
Sony Computer Entertainment Upon the completion of her studies in 2003, Bozek joined Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's London Studio as an Associate Producer. At that point, the SingStar technology existed in conceptual form, however it was Bozek who nurtured it into a franchise and designed the microphone peripheral.
As her time at the company passed, she rose through the ranks through to Senior and Executive Producer, as well as Game Director and became the main public face for the series at press events. The franchise has since gone on to sell 15 million units and accumulate $500 million in revenue.
She also assisted with the EyeToy in it's earliest form before SingStar came to fruition, and was thanked in the credits of LittleBigPlanet.
In September 2008, Bozek stood down at Sony for a new role as Development Director at a new in-house studio at Atari located in Hammersmith, West London, focusing on developing online services for PC and consoles. Bozek parted company with Atari in April 2010, in the wake of the resignation of Atari President Phil Harrison, whom she also worked with at Sony.
She is now the co-founder and CEO of Insensu, a development company making social games for Facebook and the iPhone.
