My idiot brother-in-law still defends this hunk of junk.
Ouya

The Ouya is an Android-based device that hooks up to TVs and plays video games.
There's a New, Revised Ouya Available
I have to say I was initially interested at it's potential to play my Android library on my TV, as well as it's emulation possibilities, and HD video streaming potential. But, as I didn't need a streaming device at the time, I took the 'wait and see' approach.
However, given that it's found quite lackluster support from game developers, even with it's improvements, I can't say I'm interested anymore at this point. The 'free the games' promotion could have drummed up some worthy exclusives if it was done right, but the way they chose to implement that really didn't seem to drum up anything.
I really like the idea of an open system that new developers can try and get a start on. Then I realize i'm using a PC.
If EA is the worst company in the world, then this has to be the stupidest company in the world. Give it up, you are wasting your money! It won't work. Just use your tablet, plug it to a tv, and use a controller voila. And guess what... 99% of people who use tablets won't even bother doing that.
They were selling them for $60 on amazon.ca recently so I picked one up. It's an easy way for my none tech savvy girlfriend to use xmbc without having to leave laptop plugged in to tv etc...
@big_mex: That was amazing.
