Nioh makes an important leap forward for the Souls genre but misses the perfection it could have been 0

Nioh has been in development for over 12 years at Team Ninja, starting in 2004. Supposedly, the direction the game should take was constantly in question. Eventually, Nioh was able to settle on a variety of genre's, taking very direct inspiration from notable games. At its gameplay core, it is a Souls game. Cheap Dark Souls rip off 0

Got this game for 49$, complete waste of money if you ask me. It's just a cheap Dark Souls rip off, dull and repetitive, where bosses are like 10x stronger and most of the time will one-shot kill you, making fights completely unbalanced. Wish I could get my money back :(...

A more technical Dark Souls 0

Nioh is absolutely carried by its combat. A variety of different weapons and tons of different moves for each give you ample tools to tackle every fight, and the stance system will make it hard to go back to Dark Souls combat. Its a shame that the game is brought down by a nonsensical story and overly punishing difficulty, with no option to turn it down. For my full thoughts, click here for the video review....
