Nick Diaz is a retired mixed martial artist and Jiu-Jitsu instructor born in Stockton, California on the 2nd of August 1983, he is a natural southpaw that utilizes boxing and ju-jitsu in his fights. He is known for his exciting fighting stlye, high level cardio and relentless boxing skills. He is a black belt in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu under his long time instructor Cesar Gracie as of May 7th 2008. He has competed in the UFC, PRIDE, WFA and Strikeforce promotions and has been ranked as one of the best fighters in the world P4P by some MMA outlets. He is the former IFC and WFA welterweight champion, he is also the current Strikeforce welterweight champion. He trains out of Cesar Gracie fight team with Jake Shields, Gilbert Melendez and younger brother Nate Diaz. Nick has also had one fight as a professional boxer in 2005, he fought Alfonso Rocha and won by unanimous decision, he has since trained with professional boxer's in lead up to his MMA fights. He holds notable wins over Frank Shamrock, Robbie Lawler, KJ Noons, Paul Daley, Chris Lytle, Josh Neer, Hayato Sakurai and more.
