I've already tried turning the brightness down, but there is just so much white in this game, it makes it hard to look at for me. Also, when I'm climbing, say, a pole and I'm looking up, everything is just out of focus; I can't see a damn thing. I'm having a hard time making out what's what at times when I'm on the rooftops. Is this my shitty TV, or is the game supposed to look like that?

i thought the game looked pretty good. maybe you should buy a better hd tv. old tv's have problems with newer games when they have lots of bright stuff. 

Hmm, what sort of TV do you have?

There are in game settings that might improve things for you.

If your TV is literally blurring then your TV must be pretty old and bad.  If it's just a 'white out' scenario you may have to adjust TV settings.

The game's white, but very clean.  I have no problem with it.

Could you post some specs for your TV? That might help us help you.

Also, what environment are you playing this in? Do you play Mirror's Edge in a heavily lighted environment with lots of windows near etc?

I really like the aesthetic look of this game. Maybe it's your eyes or are you using an old CRT TV? The brightness levels on those can be really sporadic. If that isn't the problem, look into the sun for a little bit. That will brighten your day ;)

Ok, the problem seems to be fixed. I turned the brightness down a bit, and now it's no longer a problem. But thanks for all the suggestions anyway. :p

Its because you spend a lot of time inside, so natural sunlight, or anything imitates it, scares you

Pro tip:

I didnt have any problem with Mirrors Edge. Except the rancid game play.

Are your eyes dilated or something? 

I don't own the game, so I'm not quite sure what it could be.  It's either your eyes or your TV is just really bright by default.

White is a color and it can be used in many different ways to make things look more clean and crisp. They had to use it to make the red objects stand out so then it is a more natural flow when running so it can get you as close to the experience as possible.    "

White and black are not colors. You'd know this if you've taken an art class."

Maybe get glasses? I used to have the same problem, I actually was a step away from gouging out my eyeballs and putting them on ice. Once you get yourself tested and get a pair, you'll feel the difference. The aesthetics of the game are one of it's biggest features so you really should try to enjoy them.

I think it could be your eyes, just try turning down the brightness some more. But I thought the white in the game was great, it gave the game environment a really nice clean, utopian look and really emphasized the other vivid colours in the game.

It made me extremely dizzy playing it almost as bad as Ghost Hunters for the PS2

Well, thanks for all the suggestions guys, but the problem has already been fixed. As I said, I turned down the brightness a bit, and now it looks perfectly fine. :p

I actually turned the contrast and brightness up a little bit. I love the sterile white look of the game especially when it's put in contrast with the bright red/yellow/blue runner vision objects.

I guess my SDTV is to blame. It's weird though, I never had any trouble with games on that TV before. I had no trouble reading BK: N&B' text back when it was still unpatched, and Dead Rising's didn't pose a problem either.

I love the look of this game.
