Overview
Minami Takayama is a Japanese voice actress and singer whose career dates back to the 1980s. One of the voice roles most commonly associated with her is that of Conan Edogawa of Detective Conan (known better in North America as Case Closed). She was also briefly married to Gosho Aoyama, the creator of Detective Conan, from 2005 to 2007, with the marriage ending in divorce. She is a member of the pop group Two-Mix, and was also part of DoCo until the group broke up.
Outside of her prolific work on Detective Conan, Takayama has also voiced the roles such as Kiki and Ursula in Kiki's Delivery Service and Nabiki Tendo in Ranma 1/2. In video games, she reprised her role of Conan Edogawa for Case Closed: The Mirapolis Investigation. Other voice roles include Axl in the Mega Man X series and Pit in both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Kid Icarus: Uprising.
