A Metroid game in name only 1

Metroid Prime Hunters, no word of a lie, is quite the technological accomplishment. The 4-player online mode, complete with voice chat, with 7 unique playable characters, and a decent level of graphical quality crammed into the DS is admittedly impressive. However, when a game carries the title 'Metroid', there is an aspect which cannot be overlooked. Singleplayer is obviously the aspect to which I am referring. Single player is what defines Metroid games. Single player is what kept Metroid Prim...

Atrocious on many level, fails to create any kind of Metroid feel 0

Metroid Prime Hunters was released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS and is a spin-off of the Metroid Prime series for the Gamecube and the Wii. The game takes place after the first Metroid Prime game, but as the story doesn't have any connection with the other games that hardly matters. The game features both a single player adventure mode as well as online multiplayer, I however haven't played the multiplayer, so I will focus on the single player. The game starts with receiving a cryptic message abo...

Be prepared to be kciked in the morph balls. 0

All consoles have their special shooting games, X Box has Halo, PC has Unreal Tournament, and Gamecube has Metroid Prime and so on... But who knew that the DS' Metroid Prime (its Special shooter) would have Online Play! This Metroid game famous for: The best handheld shooter ever, one of the best games on the DS, its cut scene graphics are nearly 'real like', good controls and so on... You take the role as Samus: a sexy, Bounty Hunter, who's a number one hunter. You've got to defeat each Bount...

A great portable metroid game for the DS. 0

I have always been attached to the Metroid series on almost all the platforms it has been on. This one on the DS is especially good and uses the touch screen capability very well. The games graphics aren't bad but they are also not top of the line, but perfect for the DS. This game also supports Nintendo Wifi which is very fun and you can have rivals online and its just a blast to play. The story mode is nice and long and very entertaining. The gameplay of this game is just great, theres unlocka...

    Metroid Prime Hunters Review 0

Editor's Note: I wrote this review a long time ago. I think it needs some polish. I still agree with everything I said, however the review itself isn't that well written. I still think I bring out some good points though, so the review can still be helpful to those seeking advise. At E3 2004, Nintendo revealed the Nintendo DS. One of the first games they showed off for it was Metroid Prime: Hunters. Now, after what feels like it has been a very long time, it is finally out. Unfortunately, a bori...

Another great multiplayer game for the DS 0

Graphics: The looks of it is amazing than i thought! The developers should be appraised for the amount of detail in the whole scenario. Enemies are equally treated with high amount of detail. Especially when you get hit by some sort of energy beam, you see a big surge around your face. Cutscenes are are even more impressive than the in-game graphics and you can unlock them for everytime you see a cutscene so you can look at it anytime but they're boring to watch again. I would have give the grap...

Story mode may be a bore, but multi-player is awesome. 0

Metroid Prime: Hunters tries to bring the Metroid experience to the portable DS system, but in that attempt are some major faults. However, the one thing they got right was the multi-player. That was really fun to play.  MPH has an average story mode that is lacking many things from the two outstanding Metroid games to come before it on the GameCube. Samus (the main character), is sent to a galaxy, to find and protect the sacred Octoliths. The main goal of the game is to collect these. During yo...
