The Different Versions of Mechagodzilla
Mechagodzilla (1974-1975)
Appearing in the films Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla and Terror of Mechagodzilla, Mechagodzilla is a cyborg version of Godzilla, created and controlled from the outside by alien invaders.
Super-Mechagodzilla (1993)
Appearing in the film Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II, Super-Mechagodzilla is actually a fusion of Mechagodzilla, and a high-tech airship called Garuda. Together they form as Super-Mechagodzilla, humankind's latest anti-Godzilla weapon. Super-Mechagodzilla is controlled from the inside by humans.
Kiryu (2002-2003)
Appearing in the films Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S., Kiryu is a version of Mechagodzilla that was built with a DNA computer, with the help of the bones from the original Godzilla that died in 1954. This version of Mechagodzilla was also built by humans and is controlled from the outside. However, if need be, Kiryu can also be controlled manually from the inside.
Mechagodzilla (2021)
Appearing in the film Godzilla vs. Kong from the American Godzilla series. This version of Mechagodzilla is a giant robot controlled by a pilot outside through a psychokinetic link powered by King Ghidorah's head and later totally controlled by King Ghidorah's remain conscious.
