Hopefully the titles on the box are just artistic license and these are actually Substance and Subsistence, not Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater.

Will def pick up the MGS and ZOE HD collections. That reminds me, I still have a sealed copy of the Essential collection I picked up for $10. I wonder if it's worth anything now...

I think that HD re-releases are a win for everybody. The publishers/developers can get some extra money for a relatively small amount of effort, and people can get a second chance to play those hard to find classics like Zone Of The Enders 2. 
 
I love this trend and I hope it keeps going. If I had one complaint though it would be that they always release at $40, I think $30 is more my taste. Especially when its a 2 game release (God of War) instead of a trilogy (Sly Cooper)

Yes! Finally they are releasing the MGS HD collection. Disappointed they are not including the original MGS but it's still great news.

I'm happy to hear this. ZoE I really wanted to own and now I can in HD.

Hope MGS3 in the pack has "Substinence" or whatever it was fixes to the gameplay and extra material, I would love to buy this, but not the default normal version. Things are so much better with the Sub one.
 
And it is an amazing game, even on it's own. Stands strong in comparison to what we have today, in fact it might stand a little too strong.

Awesome news. I just don't understand why the MGS collections doesn't include MGS1 instead of Peace Walker. Also I wish Silent Hill included the 1st and 4th games also. Whatever though, this is a good start to E3.

I played through the first ZoE so many times.. Never warmed up to Dingo but the second was impressive for a PS2 game, escort missions were no fun though.

I'm really excited tor the ZOE collection. Never played the first one so this looks like a good buy

being a MGS whore I will buy the MGS HD Collection but that was about it from the Konami Presser for me.

Wish they had the first Silent Hill and Metal Gear, but beggars cant be choosers

Dumb.  They wont even put the work in for the PS1 games which are the best.  A MGS collection without MGS1?  Are you joking?  They already re did a lot of the work for the Gamecube release.  Maybe it has something to do with Nintendo Exclusivity.  But while they say these will not be emulated, they will be ports and so just higher resolution and thats it.

I'm pumped to have MGS3 on a system I own. Also excited to give MGS2 the second look that i've neglected to give it after all these years.  Peace Walker is cool too, I never did finish it. Analog sticks and(hopefully) Xbox Live support for the co-op will make it a better experience.

This was probably the best things they could've announced anyways for me personally, so I'm glad to hear this.

Not that I'm really caring a whole lot, but is there anywhere to watch/download a reasonable quality version of the full 55 minute video? IGNentertainment has a 360p (ugh!) version on youtube, higher quality on their own page if you pay for a membership (yeah, right!), and Konami's website is endlessly timing out (doh!).
 
So far I don't see any torrents either. I'd like to see this in a quality high enough to actually make out some of the text, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay to see an hour long ad.

i don't know what to think, i really want to play peace walker with proper controls but i'm not sure if i want to pay for mgs2 and mgs3 again, i guess if they price it right i will be all over it,  
i don't care about ZOE but i'm already looking where i can pre-order the silent hill HD "collection"

very excited about the collections.  too bad about the lack of Metal Gear and Silent Hill, the only games out of their respective series' that i haven't played.   i suppose both of those games would make for difficult... "transfar"?  i personally could care less about the lack of SH4, that game was not strong.  

Really excited about this. Finally get to play these amazing series, which will definitely be a day one buy for me.

I was really looking forward to them releasing MGS1 HD since I own the MGS collection but I just can't get myself to finish the first one due to PS1 graphics. 
 
Also recently bought both ZOE games though most probably will buy the HD collection if that's what will make them consider doing a new one.

So happy I'll finally be able to play subsistence again. It was a b*tch to track down a copy of that for a decent price and I never really got into MGS3 as much as the others due to the God-Awful camera which felt fine in MGS1+2 but was positively antiquated by the third's release.

Well alright! Silent Hill 2 HD! I wonder if they'll keep the sheer amount of fog that's in the game, now that the processing power of the system has increased to the point where it is no longer needed.
