Overview
Kin Kade is an ex-convict who spent 15 years in prison for murder, he earned the nickname 'Kold' around this time for his violent behaviour. Spending most of his prison sentence in isolation, he would be released on parole and offered a job as Jaqueline Natla's bodyguard.
Sometime later, a street gang led by Jerome Johnson attempt to car-jack Natla's limosuine. Kin Kade managed to kill the entire gang, but spared Jerome because Natla required a contact within Los Angeles' criminal underworld.
Tomb Raider (1996)
Originally, Kin Kade was referred to as the Bald Man - one of Natla's three hired mercenaries who Lara Croft fights in Natla's Mines during an encounter. He wields a shotgun once belonging to Lara and is deadly at close range. Once Lara subdues him, she retrieves her shotgun and continues down the mines.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary
Kin Kade appears at the end of the Egypt level alongside Jerome, Larson and Natla to retrieve the Scion from Lara. After relieving Lara of her weapons & the Scion, Natla orders Kin Kade to kill her - but Lara narrowly escapes death and escapes. When Natla & her group leave, Lara follows their boat and hides in the boat's storage container for until she arrives at the Lost Island.
After killing Larson, Lara moves further into the mines, within the entrance to Atlantis and encounters Kin Kade & Jerome - who both proceed to attack Lara. After managing to briefly incap Kin Kade, Lara shoots at Jerome who returns fire. Kin Kade gains consciousness and stabs Jerome because he personally wants to kill Lara, he then lunges at Lara and gets close to killing her until he is shot and killed in retaliation by Jerome - who dies soon afterwards.
Trivia
- In Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Kin Kade is voiced by Dave Fennoy, best known for playing Lee Everett in Telltale's The Walking Dead.
