    Overview

    King Dodongo is the boss of Dodongo's Cavern located on Death Mountain. The dungeon is conquered by Young Link in his quest for the spiritual stones early in Ocarina of Time.

    The boss has two main forms of attack, a fire breathe and a rolling attack. The strategy for defeating King Dodongo is much the same as beating a regular dodongo. Players need to throw a bomb into his mouth when he sucks in air before his fire attack. This causes him to collapse and gives Link time to slash away at him. After enough damage has been dealt, King Dodongo rolls into the lava pit in the middle of the arena and dies.
