A reboot of a 19 year old game that I didn't care about when I was 12 and that is being put on a system that I will never buy because of Microsoft's policies? Not really excited at all.

Back when KI was new all I knew about the game was that the girl could kill dudes with her boobs. A mild curiosity about whether or not that's back is pretty much the only thing I can muster towards this new game.

I have always had a fond respect for Killer Instinct and am excited to see it come back (even with Double Helix co-developing alongside Rare), but it is not enough for me to consider the Xbox One. For those who are willing to buy a Xbox One for it, I respect them and their nostalgic tendencies, but I will not join them.

I have no nostalgia for this series, so not really that bothered. It looks like it could be fun.

I haven't seen Orchid yet, so no. When the game was in arcades in the 90's I only played Orchid and sometimes Riptor because in the 90's dinosaurs were still cool.

Having no attachment to Killer Instinct, it looks like they just made a combo heavy fighting game (probably too much in my opinion but who knows until the game comes out) that moves and looks very similar to Street Fighter IV. I'd be curious once it's out for fighting game duders to break it down and find out what's compelling about the game and if there are any analogues. In the past few years, I really liked the elegance of MK9's meter system and now the purity of Divekick so a game like Killer Instinct will likely never have appeal to me.

Then again I'm not the one to really speak much to this end, hence why I'm curious to hear what the tournament scene will say. Despite the haters, I saw plenty of genuine props and nods to MK9 which told me NR did something right. The same goes for Divekick. We'll see if KI can muster that test.
