Overview
Betrayed and murdered by those she trusted, Kalista is a vengeful spirit who roams the lands of Runeterra. Those who seek retribution can offer their soul to her, gaining the strength of her spear.
As a ranged physical damage dealer, Kalista achieves incredible mobility through her passive, Martial Poise. While unable to cancel her basic attacks like regular champions, move commands given during the wind up of her attack animation will instead make Kalista hop in that direction as soon as her spears are thrown.
She also starts the game with a unique item called the Black Spear. Activating it on an allied champion will bind that champion to her for the rest of the game, offering additional synergies to both.
Abilities
Martial Poise (Passive): Entering a movement command while winding up a basic attack or her Pierce ability will lunge Kalista in that direction.
Pierce: Throws a long-ranged spear that deals physical damage and applies a Rend stack to the first target hit. If it kills the target, the spear will penetrate it and apply all Rend stacks to a target behind it.
Sentinel: Passively deals bonus damage when attacking the same target as your Oathsworn ally. Can be activated to send out a spirit who will patrol and alert Kalista of any enemies approaching.
Rend: Basic attacks and Pierce apply increasing stacks of Rend for a short duration. Activating the ability will rip all spears from nearby enemies, dealing damage and slowing them. If Rend kills a target, its cooldown is immediately reset and half its mana cost is refunded (can apply up to twice per cast.)
Fate's Call: Kalista calls her Oathsworn to her side, making him or her untargetable for a short duration. The ally can then opt to fly towards a target location, knocking back any enemies nearby.
