    Kaer Morhen is a fortress in The Witcher. This is where the witchers used to be trained, and it is here that the game begins. The fortress is in poor shape now. But it used to be one of three training grounds with dozens of witcher's being trained at one location.

    Kaer Morhen served as the witcher's keep for many years. It is where new recruits got subjected to the witcher's special mutagens and got trained if the survived that procedure.

    Most witcher's spend at least part of every winter in the castle, before they go back on the road in spring.
