A remake of the classic Halo: Combat Evolved map Sidewinder, Avalanche is a downloadable map for Halo 3. Its large scale and plethora of vehicles make it ideal for Big Team Battle and Team Objective gametypes.
Ruled by Queen Bean, and with celebrities like Prince Peasley, the Beanbean Kingdom is a great place to be.
Blackout is one of the downloadable maps added to Halo 3. This was one of the most highly requested maps in the game, as it is a remake of Lockout, a popular Halo 2 map revered for its competitive play.
Dracula's mystical home, which has been inaccurately nicknamed "Castlevania" by well-meaning fans, is a living, demonic entity that takes the form of an ever-changing dark fortress that vanishes and reappears in tune with the Vampire Lord himself. It is the main location for most of the games in the Castlevania franchise and practically never looks the same.
A mostly exact remake of the Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer map Chill Out, Cold Storage was a downloadable map released for free by Bungie during their annual Bungie Day celebration on July 7, 2008.
A well-rounded map, Construct is favored by many competitive players for its simple-yet-chaotic play mechanics. Various long hallways and open spaces require loads of team communication, but has enough cover that it doesn't feel unfair.
One of the exclusive multiplayer maps for Halo PC and Halo Mac. Death Island bears a striking resemblance to the campaign level The Silent Cartographer.
Emerald Hill Zone is the first zone in Sonic 2.
Glitter Gulch Mine is home to hardy cowboys and Chuffy the train.
Filthy, hazardous, and undeniably complex, Grunty Industries is the expansive factory-themed world and sixth level in Banjo-Tooie.
Inspired by the Halo 2 map Lockout, one would assume Guardian's popularity would diminish when Lockout's proper remake, Blackout was released. A testament to its design, Guardian still holds up as one of the best competitive Halo 3 maps with a near-flawless layout.
High Ground is an asymmetrical storm-the-gates style of Halo 3 map. Its long lines of sight and advantages from, well, the high ground make this map more chaotic than others.
Hyrule is the land in which many of the Zelda games take place. The size, shape and locations vary in every game.
The hub world for Banjo-Tooie
In Jolly Roger's Lagoon, you'll be able to enjoy the air on land, and the sights underwater.
Mayahem Temple is an ancient paradise, and the first level in Banjo-Tooie.
Norrath is the world at the center of the EverQuest franchise.
Poptropica Earth is held to all human Poptropicans. It is composed of lots and lots of islands.
Rat's Nest is a series of rooms with an outside perimeter ideal for driving Warthogs. Its unusual design works surprisingly well for racing game variants, as well as larger scale Objective games.
Sandtrap is by far the largest multiplayer map in Halo 3. It is primarily used for Big Team Battle matches.
A love-it-or-hate-it map, Snowbound is notorious in Halo 3 for its many spaces to get spammed by a Shotgun or Mauler, grenades getting stuck in the snow causing them to miss their targets, and its too-open outside layout, although most players stay indoors. This map's appearance is usually accompanied by obscenities or the word "veto."
Terrydactyland is a barren land filled with dinosaurs and cavemen alike.
One of the most popular deathmatch maps there is.
The Longest Yard is one of the most beloved multiplayer maps since it was introduced in the Q3Test and the Quake III: Arena Demo. The unique setting mixed with the open and compact layout of the map makes it quite unique.
The Mushroom Kingdom is the fanciful world where many of Mario's adventures take place. The kingdom also hosts various sporting events like racing, tennis, and golf.
The Pit is one of the most popular and well-balanced multiplayer maps in Halo 3. It is also used in competitive MLG matches.
This stage appears in Street Fighter IV / Super Street Fighter IV, it is the training mode stage and isn't tied to a specific location.
A location commonly found in fighting games. These stages typically lack the detail and animation found in other stages, allowing the player to concentrate on practicing moves and combos without environmental distraction.
Banjo-Tooie's third level, a huge hazard-filled amusement park, holds new and old enemies along with plenty of dangerous rides and attractions to complete.
