    Jauffre is the grand master of the blades who protect the emperor to the death. Emperor Uriel Septim VII tells you to bring the amulet of kings to Jauffre.

    Jauffre is the Grandmaster of the Blades. He lives in cover as a quiet monk in a place called Weynon Priory. You are sent to him by Baurus at the end of the tutorial. This marks the start of the main quest. After the player finds Martin Septim, Jauffre moves with Martin to Cloud Ruler Temple, where he acts more directly as Grandmaster, helping the player and the new emperor through the trial of the Oblivion crisis.

    If Jauffre dies, for example during The Defense of Bruma, his body will never disappear because it is tagged as a "Quest Item".
     
    Jauffre is voiced by stage actor Ralph Cosham.
