    Known as Saburō Jingūji in Japan, Jake Hunter is a hard-boiled private detective. Armed with a pack of cigarettes and a bottle of scotch, he makes a living by cracking whatever mysteries prowl the streets of Aspicio (Shinjuku in Japan).

    Helping Jake in his investigations are his snarky secretary Yulia Marks (Yōko Misono in Japan) and friendly police inspector Scott "King" Kingsley (Sanzō "Kuma-san" Kumano in Japan).
