Overview
Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa was born on September 15, 1486 and was a German magician, occult writer, theologian, and alchemist. He taught at Universities about books that spoke of magic. For doing this he was denounced as a heretic and not able to teach at University. He went to study with another philosopher and wrote De occulta philosophia libri tres, a book that describes modern occult theories. Heinrich died on February 18th, 1535. Unlike many, he was not persecuted for his magical or occult beliefs, and died from natural causes.
Appearance in Games
Heinrich is one of three characters in Amnesia: The Dark Descent. He informs Daniel of his past works with Alexander and how they studied magic together in centuries past. However, Alexander betrayed Heinrich and trapped his soul in his own dead body. Imprisoned in the emaciated shell, Alexander is able to use Heinrich's mind to study the Orbs and open a portal to another world. Heinrich informs Daniel of Alexander's intent and tells of his location. Daniel, accompanied by the severed head of Heinrich, goes off to finally defeat Alexander and foil his sinister plot.
