Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday, is a Stand alone expansion pack to Hearts of Iron 2.

The main addition is that of a new scenerio a WW3 scenerio between Allies and Soviet Union which starts in 1945 and lasts until 1953 or either side has been wiped out. America begins as the only power with Nuclear capabilites but lacks the ability to mass produce them on a large scale.

    Intelligence Tab:

The Intelligence Tab is another added feature, its a new Sub-Game which involves the use of Spies. A player must infiltrate a enemy country and then use a selection of abilities such as steal

blueprints, coup a nation and many more. If used carefully it can shift a game in a new direction or give the player the advantage it needs to win.

Doomsday also included better graphics such as a more detailed airforce, it made a bigger addition to the tech tree so that a realistic WW3 could be fought, it extended the timeline to 1953 and an editor so the player could mod the game with more ease.
