Overview
Hamlet, or the last game without MMORPG elements, shaders and product placement is a game developed by the Russian indie developer mif2000. It is in the style of classic adventure and puzzle games, and follows the classic story of Hamlet, with some added humor and other touches.
Like many adventure games, Hamlet, contains puzzles that the player must solve in order to continue. The developers have stated that their puzzles are very unique, and manage to be very hard and extremely simple at the same time. The game also has boss battles, which will be similarly "logic based."
The game does not have an inventory, which is unusual for an adventure game.
Hamlet was developed on the Wintermute Engine, which is a free Point and Click Adventure engine.
Rebranding
The developer posted on their blog on 03-26-2010 that the game had gotten a name change. Before the name change, the game was called Gamelet or last game without MMORPG elements, shaders and product placement.
