@TekZero: They only waited 6 or so years to remake Resident Evil, and that game ended up better than the original.

I'm between two minds. One one hand, I hopped onto the Xbox bandwagon a little late, so Reach is the only Halo game I ever bought. I may end up getting this, since I never played much of the original's campaign. On the other hand, it does seem a little pointless to remake such a young game.

Yep. I'm on board. I haven't played Reach yet, but Halo: CE was easily the best game in the original trilogy. Despite being the first, it was the most sandboxy of the bunch, and had the superior coop because of that. I hope you can still break it in the same old ways, like skipping all the floors on the way down on Silent Cartographer only to have double the enemies to fight on the way back up, or knocking down the Banshee in Assault on the Control Room before the pilot could spawn and use it. I LOVED doing things like that.

Only 7 maps are coming back? Why not all of them?

I still have my old Xbox and Halo: Combat Evolved. Could play it now if I wanted too.

Hmmmm, it doesn't look so impressive.  That Halo 3 or Reach whatever engine, it still just looks like they prettied up Halo 2, not that good looking.  I need to see comparison shots but if I were Microsoft, I would have waited for the next system to redo halo to go even further with a better look and have it as a launch title.

I think the original Halo still holds up well, but I'll probably get this anyway.
