Antonica, formerly known as Tunaria, is the largest continent in the world of Norrath.
A general location used to store and invest money. Whether players rob it, or store money in it and gain some interest, banks are a long-standing institution in video games.
A place to buy alcoholic beverages and to mingle/meet with non player characters. Bars in games are sometimes essential to advance the plot, or recruit party members. Bars are the modern equivalents of taverns. You see taverns in fantasy games and bars in modern/sci-fi games.
A port where seagoing vessels can take on or discharge cargo.
A location set up for security.
A marketplace that typically sells high-end jewelry at high-end prices.
Norrath is the world at the center of the EverQuest franchise.
A prison is a secure location built for the confinement of a person or persons for a set length of time. It is often built by the state to punish criminals, and sequester them from productive members of society.
Settlements of impoverished people who live in dwellings made from scrap materials. Also known as a slum, or ghetto.
A place where you can buy, and sometimes sell things.
The tavern offers respite for weary travelers and parched throats alike. Leave your troubles at the door, and enjoy an evening of wine and song.
An intricate, often ancient, structure devoted to a deity, usually filled with traps and overly enthusiastic followers.
The Commonlands is an expansive region of grassland that stretches westward from Freeport into Kithicor Forest along the northern edges of the Desert of Ro.
Formerly a lush forest that the elves of Norrath called home, the region has since been scorches by Ro into a desert wasteland with only hints of the elves' history peaking through the sand.
The Devastation is a region within Sullon Zek's Plane of Rage.
The Ocean of Tears is the ocean that separates Antonica and Faydwer. Its name comes from when the elves were forced to flee their homeland and settle in Faydwer.
