I just switched from outlook 07 to thunderbird, because I found outlook a little to bloated with crap I don't need.
What email program do you use.

"How often can someone use their email that they need an entirely separate program for it?personally I get between 2 and 20 emails a day. Thunderbird's filters really help to keep my inbox uncluttered without manually having to go in and apply labels, especially if I don't check it for three or four days.

I switch between yahoo and gmail every few months but always use hotmail. I never get those programs like outlook to work.
Yahoo. I use Yahoo Messenger all the time and it alerts me when I get new messages. So it's really continent to use.
I have to deal with hundreds of e-mails a day, so I have Gmail auto-tagging everything which helps a lot.
A _TODO tag is set up to list everything I'm working on - so it acts as a great To Do list as well.
When you're working on multiple projects with multiple clients, you have to keep track of who they are and what conversations you've had with them - so the way Gmail displays e-mails in conversation format really helps.
Not to mention that when I'm on the move I can use it to get my POP mail from anywhere, or configure any client to synch with it.
