Hey GB community, I'm just interested in what y'all listen to apart from the Bombcast. I have lots of free time during the day and I need casts to pass the boredom.
Some of my top casts are:
-Rebel FM
-4 Player Podcast
- Player One Podcast
-Gamespy Debriefings
-\film Cast
-The Geekbox
-Outlandish WoW Podcast
-Scene Unseen Movie Reviews (R.I.P.)
-Podtoid (R.I.P. as I knew it)
Favorite Podcasts (Other than Bombcast of course)
-Rebel FM
- Comedy Death Ray Radio
-I love movies
-Two Chimps on a Davenport
-A Life Well Wasted
That's it folks!
Out of all the gaming podcasts (aside from Rebel FM and anyone else from IGN or the idiots at 1UP), which one of them are fairly decent? I have to take the train everyday for about 2 hours back and forth...so I always need to listening material...as the books on my iPad are quickly running out. >.>

Totally forgot about that one. SYMiHC is awesome. BBC History Magazine also has a really good one, even though it comes out pretty rarely." I listen to Stuff You Missed in History Class, mainly because I'm just a huge history nerd. "
Anyone listen to Jim and Them? It's so stupid, but so great, they basically talk about nothing for 3 hours a week divided into two podcasts. And they definitely don't care about being politically correct.
I have a hard time listening to any other video game ones since a lot of it is talk about news that I've read throughout the week. The other podcasts I listen to are comedy podcasts.
Comedy Death-Ray Radio
I Love Movies
Comedy and Everything Else
Never Not Funny
Jordan, Jesse Go!
The Nerdist
1) The Nerdist, Pop and Nerd Culture
2) This Week in Tech, the grand-daddy of tech podcasts but it depends on who Leo has on as to
3) Buzz out loud, another great one but going through cast changes
4)Film Sack a new one where some guys see old or interesting or bad movies, usually through netflix its good they just did Mortal Kombat
Smodcast is probably the greatest even though it's totally inappropriate most of the time.
I'm down to just smod and bombcast now a days since i don't listen to podcasts at work anymore.
My list fluctuated a lot, now I've whittled away everything and currently have
- Bombcast
- Weekend Comfirmed
- Sarcastic Gamer Red
- Sarcastic Gamer Blue
- Podcast Beyond
These are the podcasts that I have to listen to every week:
Slashfilm Cast
This American Life
Dharma Dummies(LOST podcast)
After I've exhausted my weekly rotation, I'll listen to the following:
The LOST Podcast with Jay and Jack
My History Can Beat Your Politics
Gamers with Jobs
ESPN Fantasy Focus:Baseball
Sorry for the necro, but currently while Giantbomb is clear cut #1 these are others I have listened to.
- Weekend Confirmed - in terms of game discussion, I think this is the most enjoyable as they bring up topics and stay on good discussion points that most podcasts don't do (Joystiq comes to mind). Meaning, if a e-mail question provides a good question, they sit there and talk about it throughly rather than just give a 1-2 sentence and move on to the next question.
- Playerone Podcast - Just started listening to this and find it very enjoyable with a nice mixture of game discussion and comedy.
- Joystiq - I am close to unsubscribing to this one, at first I found it very light and funny but as I'm getting more familiar with their style, I am finding more stuff to hate/complain about than stuff that I like. It seems their first notion is to joke/clown around a bit rather than stay on talking points, while Giantbomb indeed do the joke around stuff, they also know when to stay on topic and discuss things. I will probably keep this on for the moment but if I find 1-2 more podcasts, or my time is limited, this will have to go.
- 1Up show (or whatever it's called now) - This show just has no consistency whatsoever so its hard to really follow and become a fan. The lack of consistency also makes it hard to listen as the chemistry between the talkers make it more frustrating rahter then a good flow. Probably will end up cancelling this too soon.
I am really enjoying Behind The Screened Door at the moment, great addition to Whiskey Media!
.Talkradar
.Drunk Tank
.Anime News Network ANNCAST (no jerk jokes thanks).
