If there was a job opening at Valve or Epic Games, which would you take?

Valve hands down. I own all of their games (well except to remakes) and they are the video game company I like the most. They make amazing games and it would be an honor to work for them. Half-Life 2 is my favorite game after all.

i'd take a job from either of them, however if i had more options i'd probably go with my other options.

I would love to work at both but I'd have to say epic. Because its in North Carolina, which is on the east coast which is closer to my family which is not on the west coast so thats my reason why.

If working at Valve gives me discounts on Steam, then I will go work for them.

I'd go for Valve; more variety and innovation, I think. Plus, they have color in their games. Go figure.

Working at Epic would be unreal, but I'd still be GLaD to work for Valve.

Valve, no question. Although being involved in an Unreal sequel that actually does the early titles justice would be tempting.

Valve easily. If no one else is working on episode 3 I WILL WORK ON IT.

Valve, although I would want to work in their Steam division and make promoting and selling indie games a higher priority.

Valve has an incredible team, and I'd love to learn from them.

Value, working on network solutions. Its the network administrator in me, and the fact Valve is local to me.

I picked Epic. I wouldn't want to work on Gears of War, though.

Valve. Seems like a place I can chillaxe at. Cause ya know, apparently they just stop working on game series' before they're finished, and never say anything about it.

Epic, because most of the people I know who work there get f'ing paaiidd.

Valve. They just seem so much happier. Which isn't to say that Epic isn't happy. I'm just saying, everything looks mega mega mega communal at Valve.

For me, Valve makes too many games I can't stand, like the L4D's. Just comparing the polish and quality of the graphics of both companies' games, Epic wins hands down imo, and that's big for me. Valve's games always seem waaayyy too janky also.

I said EPIC because they're closer.  I don't think I could make an 140+ hour drive to work everyday.

Neither, I don't know anything about making video games.  But, I hear there are some positions open at Infinity Ward, if anyone's interested. ;-)

Epic is awesome for unreal tournament, unreal, and everything else, but I have to go with valve. They're just so cool.
